Profile & Photographic Activity
Born in 1969 in Poland.
Interested in photography since the early teenage years. Utterly self-taught experimenter and photography aficionado. Fascinated with creative use of light, appreciator of freedom of artistic expression and interpretation. Strives to create images that reach beyond the ordinary documentation of realistic realms.
Works primarily in the domain of portrait, music, street, creative and experimental photography, as well as historical photography techniques, such as gum dichromate.

 

His works have been exhibited at six solo shows:
  • RETURN (2016, gum dichromate)
  • AVIA (2015, aviation)
  • DIFFERENT WORLD (2014, infrared)
  • JAZZ - PERSONAL AFFAIR (2014, music)
  • TELL ME... (2014, portrait)
  • HUMAN FACTOR (2010, street)
and in excess of 60 group expositions in more than 30 countries on all continents of the World.

 

His photographs have been accepted and awarded with numerous gold, silver and bronze medals, honorable mentions, diplomas, certificates of merit and special awards at nearly 50 international salons of photography held under patronages from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), Photographic Society of America (PSA), United Photographers International (UPI), and a multitude of other national and international photographic organizations in Argentine, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia And Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Scotland, Serbia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, USA, and Wales.

 

In 2016 was awarded the Artist FIAP title from the International Federation of Photographic Art and has just completed his qualifications for the Excellence FIAP distinction.

 

In 2015 was admitted to the prestigious Polish Republic's Photoclub and awarded the Artist title (AFRP).

 

Between 2009 and 2015 served as an active member of the local Lublin Photographic Society, holding responsible positions of the Chief of the Artistic Council and the Chief of the Fellow Court. Involved in animation activities and organization of events, such as a very successful year-long project 52 GLIMPSES. The project goal was to show the daily life of the Lublin town and its citizens through personal photography and was held under the patronage from the Lublin Town Mayor.
Associated with numerous local cultural institutions, media and the photographic community in a broad sense, involved in educational and charity activities, which earned him the 75 Years of the Lublin Photographic Society Jubilee Medal.

 

Shared his knowledge and experience by conducting workshops covering basics of photography, photography of architecture, portrait photography and concert/stage events photography.

 

Served as a juror at local photography contests, such as LUBLIN REGION AS I SEE IT, THEATRE THROUGH THE LENS, TRADITION THROUGH THE LENS, WIKI LOVES MONUMENTS, DISCOVER EUROPE.

 

Since 2013, he has been a regular contributor to the local monthly Magazyn Lubelski LAJF, providing photography to illustrate articles and interviews. His photography has been used on the cover of 6 issues of the magazine so far.

 

He has also been published in other local, national and international periodicals, such as Wysokie Obcasy, Charaktery, Gazeta Wyborcza, FramesFactory (cover), Miesiecznik FOTO, Dziennik Wschodni, Kurier Lubelski, National Geographic Traveler, Wiadomosci 24.

 

His personal credo in photography is to always grow, expand, find joy and follow the inner voice.
